Good day. Stayed dry to very end with flat calm seas. 50 fluke 11-keepers including two 8-pounders and a 6-pounder. 14-stripers to 18- pounds 7 were keepers 7 were shorts and a bunch of blues.[img][/img]

Montauk fishing good but could be better.

Fluke fishing is the real disappointment. Same thing happened last year in my opinion. Keepers are real tough to come by. We only had 2-keepers out of 30-shorts. We then switched to stripers and had a ball landing about 30-stripers with 9-keepers. We drifted bucktails as outlined in chapter 10 of my book "Bass Buff" and had a ball with multiple hook-ups on each drift. Left them biting at 2:45 pm in 60-ft of water just west of the Lighthouse.

Check out my new book, that has gotten better reviews than I ever hoped for, at bassbuff.com.
