Etch how can anyone criticize those, they are perfection wow
You have come a long way so fast.
I love the material colors you used on. just so natural looking to human eyes.
Let's see some fish caught on them now fishing
It's a sickness isn't it ?

I know what you mean Etch about not getting the saltwater fly tying.
I have been trying to get the hang of tying Flatwing flies. I can't get it right. They look ok but trying to get a 4 to 6in flatwing hackle to lay flat and straight out the back of the fly is a PIA. Tying the feather on a pillow of fluff I just can't get just right. but I have fished the ones I tied and they look good in the water so I'm not looking for perfection or art flies.

yeah charlie, i think u nailed it on the head, over thinking my fly tying, getting the lure building and fly tying mentality mixed up, , if i am correct the fly doesnt have to sink perfectly straight down, its not a jerk bait or slider or glider lol, the action is from the current or you stripping the fly in, to get the materials to do there magic and make the fly come alive, so whether the hook point doesnt always stay down, maybe to the right or left sometimes is irrelevant as the fly will still and do get smashed , sound logical?
