Fathers Day Strumming

Post  Fish Hawk on 6/21/2011, 8:11 pm

Left the dock about 7am and headed down the bay to drum grounds. Arrived alittle early we had to wait for the tide to start to run in . Threw some lures at the rocks with nothing biting. Tide finally started to run in and we dropped the hook. As soon the tide started to push the drum began to chew. We hooked up with 3 boated 2 and lost one. As soon as the bite started it stopped. Sat there for the rest of the incoming and caught a few doggies and blowfish. Tide died out and decided to throw a hail marry and try for stripers. Made a move back up the bay and dropped the hook and started to chunk. Had 6 bites 4 of them to the boat 2 of the 4 were keepers and the other two were throwbacks.
Drum were roughly lil over 20 lbs. And the bass were 33 and 34".
