I try a variety of netting to try to add finer detail to the base colors. I look for stuff that will wrap around the bait and hang smoothly.

The nylon netting is the worst. It wants to slide and it fights you when you try to get it to lay flat against the bait. Look for cotton netting if you can find it. Just don't apply to much paint too quickly if you're shooting water based paints or it will soak the cotton. Just go slow. Hope that helps.

Still hunting. Took a doe early but still trying to catch up with a decent buck. Saw two so far, but it was too dark to take a shot.
